The Story Behind Our Book Club

It all started with two friends, Amy and Emily, who loved reading books together and discussing them afterwards. They decided to create Novels at nine to include other members in the book club that they had created to share the love of reading with others.
Founded in 2024 and based online, our Book Club is a devoted community made up of enthusiastic individuals who enjoy sharing ideas, discussing the themes and generally enjoying the books they read in the club.
Reading for Self Care
As busy Mums we know the realities of finding the time to read- it can be hard to find the time! We prioritise time for reading for our children, why not us? We started reading together for accountability between ourselves and discussed books. We soon saw the benefits of regular reading and decided to open up our book club to other members!
